• You must be 16 or older by May of the year you’re applying. There is no upper age limit.
• You need to live in the UK and have the right to work in the UK for the duration of the apprenticeship
• Have four National 5s (grades A-C) or GCSEs (4-9) in Maths and English

If your application is successful, you'll be sent a link to two online aptitude tests you must complete. We recommend doing some practice tests before completing the assessment (practice tests can be found on the National Careers Service website).  The assessments will cover general and numerical ability and reasoning.  If you have a disability, let us know before completing the aptitude tests so we can adjust them accordingly.

If you've completed the aptitude tests, you'll be invited to attend an interview in person or online.

If you're successful, you will be given a conditional offer, subject to passing an OEUK medical. Please make sure you return the completed offer of acceptance before the 'respond by date'.

To work offshore, you must pass the OEUK medical before starting the apprenticeship. This will consist of:

• Height
• Weight
• BMI
• Basic vision (including colour blindness)
• Urinalysis
• Pulse & blood pressure
• Lung function test
• Audiogram
• Consultation with a doctor

We will issue your contract as soon as we receive your OEUK medical certificate.
