The APTUS apprenticeships
An APTUS apprenticeship is a reliable route to a career in energy. You'll gain recognised qualifications in a trade, as well as practical training and hands-on experience with an employer, all while earning a salary.
You will learn and specialise in one of four disciplines:
Electrical Maintenance apprentices look after high voltage power generation and distribution systems, as well as motors, control systems and electrical equipment specially designed for use in demanding offshore environments.
Instrument and Control maintenance apprentices will learn to regulate and maintain measurement systems for oil and gas flow, level, pressure and temperature. You will also be responsible for electronic and pneumatic process control systems and safety systems.
Mechanical Maintenance apprentices will learn to look after valves, pumps and transmission systems. You will also be responsible for prime mover machinery such as high capacity diesel engines and gas turbines.
Process operations apprentices will learn how to operate equipment to ensure the safe production of energy.
